I was born in Austin, TX, and grew up in southwest Houston. I started the University of Houston majoring in Biology to eventually go into human medicine for dermatology. However, that changed when I decided to go with a friend to the Pre-Vet Student Association and learned about a career I never thought about.
Before I knew it, I was on my way to Arizona for my DVM at Midwestern University College of Veterinary Medicine. During my first year, I met my fiancé, Jamie, and we decided to call Arizona our new home once we graduated. Together, we rescued two crazy dogs, Honey and Chili, and our old lady Siamese, Kesha. Honey was my first spay patient in veterinary school, and she’s been my rock since then. Chili is still learning her way around the world since she’s only a few months old. My main interests include nutrition, soft tissue surgery, preventative medicine, and providing affordable services to the community and local shelters/rescues.
In my free time, I enjoy oil painting (arts and crafts in general), gardening (attempting and failing), and being a couch potato for hours at a time with Netflix on autoplay.
